Specim and GeoSpectral Imaging sign contract to scan 200 km of core for the Swedish Geological Survey
Specim, together with GeoSpectral Imaging, have signed a contract with the Swedish Geological Survey (SGU) to scan and process 200 km of core from the SGU’s core library. VNIR, SWIR, LWIR, and High Resolution RGB image data will all be captured in a single scan. The project aims to produce a uniform national drill core data base to be used as a basis for further macro-analysis.
